Cadbury`S World Case Study free essay sample

Segmentation of the Cadbury’s World target market is based not only on age, but also on social, economic, demographic and psychological factors. Using data from the Target Market Profile Sheet and looking at the lifestage segmentation it can be concluded that Full Nesters are more likely to visit Cadbury World because of children’s attractions. Also, the consumers’ activities, interests and opinions are a very important factor in defining this venue’s target market. On studying the Profile Sheet it can be seen that people who enjoy recreation and visiting educational as well as entertaining new venues or family activities like going to museums or theme parks would probably consider this particular venue. Therefore, the main target market for Cadbury World is families with children but also tourists, couples with no children and students. (134) A2 What makes Cadbury World unique is not only being the only chocolate factory in the UK but also because of its range of activities that are provided within the tour of the venue. In comparison with the National Sea Life Centre, another tourist attraction in the same field, the venue offers its visitors the opportunity to explore and discover the history of chocolate, learn about the origins and story of the Cadbury business one of the worlds largest confectionery manufacturers and see how their favourite chocolate is made. During this tour, visitors can write their names using fresh liquid chocolate and also taste free chocolate samples that the staff offer. Therefore, the chocolate smell, the various sets that make the tour seem like a journey and the fun atmosphere of the various sets presented created especially for children make Cadbury World’s visitors want to return. (139) A3 The most suitable area that Cadbury World should use to promote its product is the â€Å"Above the line† Media. Two of the most appropriate mediums would be television and magazines because they can both reach the main target effectively. This venue’s main target market is families so the average one is likely to have at least one TV and read at least one magazine monthly. 65) The greatest advantage of using television is reaching a large audience regardless of age, sex , income and education level. It also has a great effect on the viewer because it not only conveys a mood or image of the brand but is also remembered if catchy slogans or heavy repetition are used when transmitting the message. Also, TV commercials use most human senses without touch and smell so it can abound in colour, sound and movement. Moreover, it is very powerful and can touch the viewer emotionally if made in a creative, active and dynamic way. Because of these benefits, this type of advertising is very popular among companies. However, there are also some disadvantages of this medium. Apart from presenting the viewer with limited information about the product, it is also the most expensive means of advertising. The costs of producing a quality commercial are considerably high and transmitting it for only thirty second or less can be even higher. In addition, viewers dislike some commercials that are shown too frequently and change channels which means a decline in effectiveness. Therefore, although it is perhaps the best way of reaching the target market is also the most expensive one. (201) Magazines are also a very good means of advertising and have the quality far superior to that of newspapers because of the use of colour and excellent print quality. This makes them have a long life span compared to TV and radio that are characterized by fleeting messages. Magazines also have the ability to reach a specific target audience which in case of Cadbury World is mothers and also children if the advertisements are presented in children magazines. Consumers are more receptive to advertisements in magazines than in any other medium. Another important advantage is the reading of the magazine which provides more detailed information about the product at a less hurried pace and there is also more opportunity to examine advertisements in detail. Advertisers can also use gatefolds which enable them to make a striking presentation by using a third page that folds out and gives the advertisement an extra-large spread or insert product samples to increase credibility. Although all these advantages are considerable magazines have certain drawbacks too. For example, advertising companies are expensive when it comes to being creative and spend a long time when setting up an advertisement which can vary between three to four months. The law frequency and less reach are also important disadvantages. However, in the case of Cadbury World demographic segmentation comes in hand. If the advertisement is placed on Sunday magazines supplements that cover the area near this venue, the main target market would be reached more efficiently and the production would be cheaper. These two â€Å"Above the line† mediums are appropriate in terms of efficiency and coverage of the Cadbury World’s target market. Both of them use visual images and color which create dynamism and have a greater impact on the viewer. Moreover, they raise awareness of the product and by offering an overall image of what the product stands for. (578) Conclusion B1 The two main â€Å"Below the line† Media that Cadbury World uses to promote its product are a promotional leaflet and a web site and both of them are efficient mediums in terms of cost and information provided. In comparison with the â€Å"Above the line† Media, leaflets and websites are easy to produce and have a good quality cost and companies have the opportunity to provide the viewer with detailed information about the venue. Leaflets are booklets which can fit a pocket or diary or the purse of an individual. Even if they are distributed in streets, there are lots of chances for the individuals to carry them home. Leaflets can be simply handed out in the streets directly to people or inserted in newspapers, magazines or left in shopping malls, restaurants, cafeterias, etc. The major advantage in leaflets is not being constrained by space. The ideas can be expressed in an adequate space with striking graphics. The leaflet is permanent and the message will not change unless it is physically altered. Furthermore, leaflets are small in size and can be carried to homes creating opportunities for being read by more than one person. As a result, it also gives adequate time to read and understand the message at the leisure time of each person at home. It can be reread for reinforcement. The major disadvantage that companies face when choosing this medium is that they need to be careful in creating the image of the brand because leaflets have to show benefits of the product advertised and not features. Moreover, producing a leaflet can be quite expensive if made in a large format. Another â€Å"Below the line† Media that Cadbury World uses to promote its venue is the website. Because these days consumers spend more time on the internet than on traditional media such as television and radio, the best way to reach the target market and raise awareness of the product is building a website. Companies can reach a wide audience for a small fraction of traditional advertising budgets and the nature of the medium allows consumers to research and purchase products and services at their own convenience. Therefore, it not only provides detailed information about the venue but viewers can also buy the products. The website may also contain interactive animations, activities or graphics that increase the costumer involvement and satisfaction. Moreover, creatively designed sites can enhance a company’s image, lead to repeated visits and positively position the company in the consumer’s mind. Also, the site can be updated to always provide the latest information. Although is the fastest means of acquiring useful information about Cadbury World, the internet also has its disadvantages. For example, companies that have websites face clutter. Because of the high number of advertisements and websites, it may be difficult for researchers to locate, especially if there are many similar sites. A connection to the web is needed to access the information, which will be impossible if a computer and connection is not available. Lastly, the site may go down or the computer may crash which causes the loss of information.

Karate vs Taekwondo Similarities and Differences Essay Example For Students

Karate vs Taekwondo: Similarities and Differences Essay Martial Arts Differences: Karate versus Teakwood Ever since the times of the Japanese and the Koreans, Karate and Teakwood were used forms tot self-defense. Still, the two martial arts, serve its purpose, but presently have additional purposes which are for physical fitness and spiritual and mental focus. Although the two might appear very similar, they are strikingly different. Unfortunately, many people dont know this and cant differentiate the two. , for one, became interested in differentiating the two to know which arterial art will be suitable for me; because am planning to learn one of the two in the near future. After some research, have found that both Karate and Teakwood are great martial arts, but they are different in origin, moves, and purpose. Karate and Teakwood are often mistaken to have the same origin or their origins are Often mixed up. Karate was developed in the Rusk Islands, but the island of Okinawa is considered to be its birthplace (Critter 101 , 2009). Thus, Critter 101 stated that its various styles were all rooted from the Okinawa style systems. Meanwhile, Teakwood started in Korea and was enhanced when the country was occupied by the Japanese. It just became systematic martial art after the Second World War (Teakwood-information. Org, 2009). Another difference of Karate and Teakwood are its moves, On one hand, Karate is comprised of punches, strikes, blocks, and kicks to make the entire human body a weapon. These techniques are combined with evasive footwork maneuvers and joint locks to create a hand-to-hand or hand-to-weapon combat method of basic self-defense, In addition to that, training and understanding he basic moves can deliver one of the most devastating strikes to any attacker rendering them incapacitated (Nichols, 2009). On the other hand, a lot of the Teakwood moves are about striking people using the legs and most of the moves involved spin around kicks, flying kicks, open handed strikes, system of blocks and punches. Aside from that, Tea Swoon Do believes that the leg is the most important weapon that a martial artist has and since it is the longest it has more chances of hitting the target compared to the arms (Sitting, 2008). Lastly, the two martial arts both are for self-defense, but they certainly differ in Other purposes. The Other purpose Of Karate is to make the body like iron or as hard as a rock and the hands and feet used like points of arrows. This is because it the only weapon used in a right that should be reasonable. Karate fighters arent allowed to get into fights without any reason (Toots, 1908). Meanwhile, the other purpose of Teakwood is perceived as a way of life. This is because it involves discipline, technique and mental training, resulting in a strong sense of inference, spirit and character (Mamas Health. Com). Overall, I prefer to take Teakwood, although there is the reality that both do many Of the same forms as the Other _ In addition to that, they both require athleticism, stamina, and discipline. The differentiation is that the higher kicks in Teakwood are not suitable for all people (Wiseacres). Even though Teakwood might sound more difficult, my preference for it wont change, because I like to be challenged.

The Clinton Scandal Essays - Lewinsky Scandal, Rodham Family

The Clinton Scandal Over the past month's our president William Jefferson Clinton has been under fire over his personal affairs with a young intern. Eventually in court he lied under oath about ever having a sexual relations with the twenty-one year old intern Monica Lewinsky. He also came out on national television and said he didn't do it, which really added up. Polls show that the presidential ratings are higher than ever. Many Americans believe that Clinton is doing a good job. His current ratings are about 65% so most likely the president will not be removed from office. They still believe that he did a wrongdoing but they seemed to forgive him because that's his personal life and out country/economy is at a great high. Also some of the ratings come from his great speeches. This is a quote from Tom Brookaw a respected journalist on NBC, "It seems every time Bill comes out to addresses us he delivers block buster speeches". In which these speeches motivate people and people believe him because most of everything he says he does. Another thing Bill Clinton did was balance the budget. By year 2000 we will have a surplus in money from billions may be even trillions of dollars. With all this extra money we could put some good use to it. We should be careful not to waste the dough on stupid things. Most of the extra bills will go towards saving social security. So when we need it, it will be there when we retire some day. Many people were worrying that it might run out one day but now we don't have to fret. Still some Americans believe that our president should be removed from the White House. They know that he had a sexual affair and that he abused his powers to cover-up what he did. Some believe he had other affairs as well. It really isn't anyone's business what he does with his personal life, as long as our country is doing well. He also lied under oath trying to cover-up his scandal. Too me that's what I would do under all that pressure. You wouldn't want people to know about that stuff. We never really hear about all the people (Republicans, Judiciary comity, etc) who don't like Clinton because at one point in their lives they most likely had an affair too. For instance the ex-speaker of the house Bob Livingston came out and announced his affair. Only the smart ones who decide not to mess around are the ones who have to worry about anything. Overall the president William Jefferson Clinton to me is doing a really good job. Our economy/country is higher than ever. Un-employment is at an all time low. We all know he did some thing wrong but that is his personal life and is none of our business. It's too bad that Bill has to go down as the second president to be impeached and all the food things that he did will be forgotten. But he choose to do what he did and that was his fault.

Pluto and its features. How it was discovered, its measurements compared to Earth, its surface, and its atmosphere

Pluto and its features. How it was discovered, its measurements compared to Earth, its surface, and its atmosphere Pluto....A Controversial Planet!Pluto is a very controversial planet. The reason for this is because it's a dark and distant planet and it's hard to study it clearly enough to be satisfied. Pluto was discovered in 1930 by an astronomer by the name of Clyde Tombaugh. Then James Christy and Robert Harrington discovered Pluto had a satellite, they named it Charon. Pluto and Charon are referred to as double planets. Some of the facts, or measurements, that we know about Pluto are from discovery efforts such as new inventions and long studies. There was supposed to be a scheduled mission in 2001 called the "Pluto Express Mission," and was expected to arrive at Pluto around 2006-2008, but there's no source that could tell if that went ahead as planned or if it was cancelled. From these discovery efforts we learned some data on Pluto. Specifically the measurements compared to the earth.Charon's discovery as a time-varying bulge on the ...So, the distance of Pluto from the sun is 5,913,520 x 103 kilometers, and Earth's is 149,600 x 10 3 kilometers. This should give an idea of how far away Pluto is in comparison. Another comparison between Pluto and Earth would be the radius of Pluto compared to the radius of the Earth. Pluto's radius is 1160 and Pluto's moon, Charon, diameter is 1,172 kilometers (728 miles), just over half the size of Pluto. The Earth's radius is roughly 6378 kilometers, nearly 6 times the size of Pluto! Next, will be the density of each Pluto and the Earth in comparison. Pluto's density is 2.05 g/cm3 and the Earth's density is 5.52 g/cm3. This means Pluto may be smaller but it still has a lot of density to it. The Orbital Period of Pluto is a lot longer than the Earth's because of obvious reasons. Those would...

Actions that Nurses Can Take To Maintain Skin Integrity Assignment

Actions that Nurses Can Take To Maintain Skin Integrity - Assignment Example To avoid positioning clients on sites of skin impairment, and whenever possible, the client should be turned every two hours. They can also use the appropriate and approved positioning devices. They should avoid using blankets, sheets, and towels as paddings. They are usually ineffective in distributing pressure and can lead to friction. Instead, protective padding and films should be used. To transfer patients with care to prevent the harmful impacts of mechanical forces such as shear, friction, and pressure (Wadlund 2010) Nurses should implement a documented treatment plan for sites of skin impairment. The written plan ensures consistency in the care given. Nurses can use topical treatments that maintain moist environments for wound healing. They should asses the patients’ nutritional status and institute the necessary dietary supplements. This can be done with the help of a nutritionist. To be careful not to expose skins to temperatures above 42oC when using pressure re gulation devices

Perform an investigation and mettalurgical examination of an Essay

Perform an investigation and mettalurgical examination of an industrial component - Essay Example It refers to the procedures used in extracting metals from ore, as well as to the processes related to metals purification and alloy production. It is divided into two subtypes the Process metallurgy and Physical metallurgy. Process metallurgy refers to the ways in producing metals like its refining process through electrolysis or selective oxidation of impurities. On the other hand, Physical Metallurgy studies the structure of metals based on their composition and treatment. It is also concerned with the scientific principles and engineering applications employed in metals fabrication and treatments, and how metal products hold up under their industrial usages. Component manufacturers a lot much of their time in study what type of material is best suited for a certain Products. Every little aspect of the materials is a great issue to them because they want their products to be well equipped for any possible things to happen. They are also concerned to the safety and satisfaction of the Customers. The limitation of their products must be properly stated because they are held liable for whatever accident that might happen in using their products. To perform the said study, we investigate and examined the metallurgy of a gas adaptor (Industrial component). We use gas adaptor as our material because we usually noticed that this material is always exposed to heat and by this we are curious about its composition. We are also concerned with the manufacturing processes of this component on how it comes up to a finished product. This study will enrich our understanding with the proper ways and methods in identifying a certain components, not only of its physical appearance but its chemical composition and capability for a certain application. 1.) We cut a sample of the metal (Gas adaptor), using a metal cutter in a circular shape. In cutting the sample we make sure that it is enough for the investigation. Upon cutting the sample aside from its outside
